Big Bass Lake was developed differently than most other Poconos Mountains communities. Because it is about 13 miles further out from the center of the Poconos tourism area the developers did a few things different.

Big Bass Lake is gated. The neighborhood has the complete amenity package that most second home owners want. Pools, tennis, fitness, skiing onsite are all part of the HOA.

When you come to Big Bass Lake, you'll find only a few restaurants, local convenience stores, and little nightlife locally. For most of the Poconos amusements, you will need to travel at least 20 minutes. Thus. there is a higher percentage of retired owners and those seeking solitude.

Families love it because of the community amenities, gates and slower, quieter atmosphere. Renters love it for the same reasons.
