Tamiment, PA Real Estate and The Glen At Tamiment - Homes for Sale

A Gated Community with access to small community center building, outdoor pool, lake for non motor boats and fishing and a tennis court. Tamiment and The Glen at Tamiment are located in the Far eastern section of the Poconos Mountains in northeast PA. The community is sightly remote and in an area surrounded by state forest, the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area and private undeveloped lands. To make this clear to city folk... it's 15 minutes to anything. Tamiment is about 1.75 hours from New York City. There are residents in the community who commute.

Services are about equidistant to Milford PA and Stroudsburg, PA where both towns are county seats and have shopping centers with supermarkets and big box stores. Both are about 30 minutes from Tamiment. Ther is a deli and a Turkey Hill gas station mini mart about 5-7 minute away.

The community has a suburban feel with 1/4 to 1/3 acre lots serviced by central water and central sewer. Roads are private and maintained by the community. No lots in Tamiment are lakefront because the community owns a strip of land between the lot and the lake. Thus, owners do not have docks and must go to a lake access point to use the lake.

The community arranges for adult activities and sponsors clubs / groups.

Houses are well kept and the community is about 50 % year around / retirement and 50% vacation. There is a mix of ranch, two story, colonial and contemporary styles of homes.

You must be accompanied by a real estate agent to view the community and any of the homes listed below. USA Realty - Pocono office specializes in representing buyer and sellers of homes in Tamiment and by calling 570-517-2428 you can arrange to tour the community and see any home for sale.
