Shohola, PA Shohola is a township located in Pike County. With 2,240 residents and 896 households the median income is $42k with a median age of 42. The township was formed in December 1851 from parts of Milford Lackawaxen and Westfall Townships and is located along the Delaware River. Shohola is a Lenni Lanape Indian word for “Place of Peace”. One of the first summer amusement parks in the USA was “The Shohola Glen Amusement Park” from 1186-1907. There are a number of summer camps in the area as well as historical sites such as the first suspension bridge to cross over the Delaware River.
